>>Overview

DCR (Dexoron Cargo Realization) is a cross-platform build and dependency manager for C and C++, built in Rust and modeled after Cargo's workflow. One dcr.toml file replaces hand-written Makefiles or CMake boilerplate — dcr new, dcr build, dcr run, dcr test and dcr add cover the whole loop from scaffolding a project to shipping a release build.

Dependencies can point to a local path, a Git repository, or a registry package, and are pinned through a lock file for reproducible builds. Cross-compilation targets are addressed by short names instead of full LLVM triples, and the tool emits compile_commands.json out of the box so VS Code and CLion pick up IntelliSense with zero extra config.
